About Us
My husband, Jay, and I live in Bakersfield, CA. We have been happily married for 36 years as of June 22, 2010. We have worked together most of our married lives doing many things. Most recently, we ran a four diamond Bed and Breakfast on the Central Coast of California. That was a wonderful experience. In keeping with the concept of the B & B, we love having people in our home for what we call B & B at the Peavlers’, which now stands for Breakfast and Bible. We love to practice hospitality in our home and we love sharing about the Lord with others.
We also love to spend time with our family. We have three sons, three daughter-in-laws, one foster daughter, and fourteen grandchildren. We spend as much time with our grandchildren as we can because we take seriously our important role in their lives. There is nothing more fun than taking a couple of them on a vacation to a fun part of the world for us to all explore together.
We have just recently added Rio to our family. You can read about that in the post How We Met Our New Dog. We have enjoyed him so much that we wanted to share his adventures with others.
